RM 88 Smiley

Richard Mille builds watches to be looked into rather than at, and the RM 88 is the clearest statement of that: an automatic tourbillon whose baseplate carries a cast of miniature sculptures, a cactus, a pineapple, a palm, and the smiling face that names it.

This Richard Mille RM 88 wears a 49.9 x 38.4mm case in Carbon TPT and quartz TPT with a skeletonised face. Automatic CRMT7 inside.

Fun fact: Each figure on the movement is machined and hand painted separately, then set on the baseplate without adding load to the going train. Fifty were made, and the smiley itself is cut from yellow gold.
