Golden Ellipse (Blue)

The Golden Ellipse launched in 1968, its shape built on the golden ratio, the proportion the Greeks used in architecture. It has been in Patek's catalogue continuously ever since, one of the longest-running designs the house makes.

This Golden Ellipse wears a 39.5mm x 34.5mm platinum case with a blue sunburst dial and applied gold batons. The ultra-thin calibre 240 with its micro-rotor sits inside, on a navy alligator strap.

Fun fact: like every platinum Patek, the case hides a small diamond set into the lug side at six o'clock, the house's quiet signature for the metal.
