The Royal Oak Concept is where Audemars Piguet puts the movements it has no intention of hiding. For 2023 the house handed the openworked calibre to KAWS, whose Companion figure sits inside the case with its hands over its eyes.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon wears a 43mm titanium and ceramic case with an openworked dial. Manual winding calibre 2965 inside.
Fun fact: The Companion's crossed out eyes are KAWS's signature and have appeared on everything from gallery bronzes to vinyl toys, but this is the first time the figure was made small enough to live inside a movement. The edition ran to 250 pieces.
